The first film in the series chronicles the history of African-Americans on the Los Angeles City & County Fire Departments between the years of 1886-1969. Spotlights are given to the first black fireman, the era of segregation, the integration battle, the formation of The Stentorians, and later catastrophic events such as the 1965 Watts Riots.
