The 1992 Los Angeles Riots that followed a verdict in a Simi Valley courtroom are seen through the eyes of LAFD Paramedic Greg Harbinger. On that first night, he and his crew are assaulted. The assault leaves all three injured with one of them forced to retire due to his injuries. Harbinger, feeling he is to blame, carries the guilt for nine years into the future when, on the eve of that terrible anniversary, he is given a chance at redemption.
