COMPANY X: THE NEW STENTORIANS
Westlake Signal’s Chin Thammasaengsri & The Stentorians to Appear on
KHHT-FM’s “Community Review with Josefa Salinas” in 2005 Los
Angeles, Ca (October 4, 2004)-Westlake
Signal Group is proud to announce that Engine
Company X’s Chin Thammasaengsri will be appearing with members of The
Stentorian organization on Los Angeles’ KHHT-FM 92.3 to help kick off the
annual observance of Black History Month. The appearance is tentatively scheduled for February 6, 2005 on “Hot 92.3’s Community Review
with Josefa Salinas.” Chin
will talk about the Engine Company X
documentary film series and The Stentorians will also comment on what was seen
in those films as well as their own work in the community, and the
African-American Firefighter Museum. More
details will be posted as broadcast time nears. KHHT-FM is a Clear Channel Radio
Station serving the metropolitan Los Angeles area. “Engine Company X: The New Stentorians”
(1970-2004)
covers the modern age of firefighting. The history of the Los Angeles City
Fire Department & the Los Angeles County Fire Department continues with the
added history of the fabled Los Angeles County Lifeguards. Appearing in this
film are the first man and woman to promote to Captain, the earliest black
Lifeguard, and a Stentorian who has been honored by the White House. Events such
as the 1992 Rodney King Riots and 9/11 are spotlighted.
